Kelvingrove Art Galleries would have been a Treasure Test for Vincent. There are a number of his works in the gallery which is often visited by GlasGogh.

His portrait of his Glaswegian friend in London, Alexander Reid. is hanging in its halls. The colours of that portrait have been used to paint this image. There is reference to his work from his time in Saint-Remy-de-Provence.

GlasGogh spent time in the region and was impressed by the colour, light, and flavour of the scenery.

The Modern Echo of Van Gogh's Vision

Inspired by Van Gogh's "The Church in Auvers-sur-Oise" (1890), this painting reimagines the Transport Museum with his signature violet hues and cobalt sky.

Mirroring the shapes and structures of the museum, I blend old architectural elements with the new, capturing the vibrant essence and emotive brushstrokes of Van Gogh in a contemporary setting.
